Question finally back on meds... Whole body scan questions

I am so happy to be taking Synthroid again. I can't wait to feel better...

I had my one year post thyroidectomy for papillary cancer this past Friday (4-29-11). It was pure torture to be off my meds for three weeks! I still feel poor but I know eventually it will get better.

I'm anxious now to get my results. Does anyone know where it would be considered "normal" for an area to "light up" on a whole body scan? I took my pill Wednesday and was told it would be flushed out my system through urine. When I took my test I was able to see the black screen with tiny little white pinpoints to show my body. There were two very bright spots. One was most certainly my bladder which I know is normal. The other was upper left chest. I had some very small areas around my thyroid (or where my thyroid used to be) light up but nothing looked suspicious there. I was just wondering about the one in my chest.... It was much brighter on the posterior view than the anterior. I guess I'll hear from my doctor Monday or Tuesday... I was just curious.

Originally I had a large nodule on my left thyroid lobe and a small one on the right. The cancer had also moved into 4 surrounding lymph nodes which were removed as well. They didn't see anything in the surrounding tissue upon removal.

Thank you so much for any input!

All of those areas are normal!! Try not to worry--I know it's hard. I remember trying to read the scans I was delivering to my endo.
