My ultrasound said that I had a thyroid gland that is homogeneous in echotexture. There is irregularly marginated complex predominantly hypoechoic avascular 1.2 x 0.5 x 0.9 lesion along the posterior margin of the inferior right thyroid lobe. This appears extrathyroidal.
The left lobe - there is a 0.7 x 0.5 x 0.6cm only slightly hypoechoic smoothly marginated oval lesion - this lesion in the anterior mid left thyroid lobe has peripheral rim of hypervascularity.
Can anyone tell me what this means.
Thanks so much for your help and time.
