TG is 378!! Hypo but not thyroid surgery. Is this normal??

Hypo for last 2.5 yrs but just had u/s with large, irregular nodules found.

Having FNA biopsy tomorrow. Gained 30lb in past 95 days.

TSH at 4.12 \when normally stable at around 2.0

Endo tested TG and TPO antibodies - TG at 378!! TPO at 824!

I understand TPO indicates Hashimoto's but TG??

PCP says indicates cancer along with nodules.

Is How can TG be that high? People's post's i've read on here say high is like 30... if that's high, what does 378 indicate??

Anyone had TG that high?? Does it only mean cancer if TG level is that high after thyroid removal? I still have mine (at least for now) and never had any nodules removed.

Please help - biopsy tomorrow but don't see new endo specialist for a few weeks and Im going crazy waiting!!! Miserable and don't feel well and just looking for anyone to share similar experiences... any input at this point is appreciated!

TG is irrelevant to thyroid cancer--unless you've had yours removed completely with surgery for thyroid cancer. for everyone else, it's just an indicator of thyroid tissue.
