Iodine Scan - Liver uptake?

HI,

24 yr old male had hemithyroidectomy followed by completion thyroidectomy in September this year. Before iodine treatment, my TSH was 95 and Tg was 5.1 (don't know about TgA).

Had my iodine on the Monday. Scanned on the wednesday which showed only thyroid bed uptake. However my day 7 scan showed fairly strong uptake in the liver. My consultant said this is not uncommon but from reading about it, it seems to correlate with bad outcomes. Does anyone have any info on this for me please?

Thanks
