| Re: NEED ADVICE FOR ANYONE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM? Thyroid nodules
Thyroid cancer usually has no symptoms (unless it's become very far advanced, sometimes there is hoarseness), and blood work is usually normal.
It's very slow growing, and the first step would be to have a needle biopsy/fna on any nodules that are over 1cm, and then go from there to either watch them for growth or changes over time, or remove if they are either very large and/or suspicious.
Why are you having this removed? Did you have an fna? How large are these? I don't think you need to rush to remove unless there are other red flags that make these suspicious, such as the cells in the pathology.
