will they remove my thyroid?

Hi all. I was diagnosed with multinodular thyroid in 2000. Had FNA but as I recall, they couldn't confirm Hashi's or anything else. I never went back (no more needles in my neck!). Now have strangled feeling, sore throat, hoarse voice, trouble swallowing, some ear pain and a sore neck. New US shows 8 nodules, most are 1-2cm's and solid/hypoechoic. 1 has calcification and 2cm one has increased peripheral flow...? Have to wait a while for ENT appt. Will they just remove thyroid? I don't want any more FNA's!
