Question Nerve block

Hi,, I am new to your message board... I have an unusal question and hoping somebody out there has had similar experience or can shed some light. I am a 19yr survivor of thyroid cancer that had spread to bone when diagnosed. Most of the mets are in my spine. I have had 6 spine surgeries since 1993.. the past 5 being the past 3yrs, and 3 major surgeries in just one year. My question is: I have experienced a lot of nerve damage in my legs and feet from all these surgeries and developed a rather unusal problem. My right leg becomes extremely cold even in warm weather, but more so now that the cold weather is here. The only thing that warms it is a heating pad.. 3pr of sox and warm slippers,, legwarmers, do nothing for it. I am scheduled to have a nerve block next Mon. and I am wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with such an unusual problem. Any iinformation, advice is appreciated. Thankyou in advance.
