Hi everyone.. I posted a few days ago about the mystery lump on my neck. I did an ultrasound and doc says its 3cm and complex. He wants me to hve a biopsy soon. I am terrified!!! What if its anaplastic cancer?? I discovered the lump suddenly is why I'm scared of that. Otherwise I am a healthy fit 27 year old lady. Please gve me some words of hope. I haven't been able to eat or sleep much from worrying about this.
Take a deep breath. All is probably fine, but just go through the motions and make sure. I had the ultrasound, biopsy, surgery, and was told the entire way was cancer free, but the pathology came back post op and I did have cancer, but it was all removed. It seems tedious at times, but find a good surgeon and follow through. I had multiple nodules two of which were 6.0+ cms. My neck was one huge goiter. Good luck and take a deep breath. Many many people have cysts and it is fine.
Hi i am going through the same scary ride at the minuate, ultrasound on thursday and couldnt be more scared, i have a rather large lump on my neck and a very swollen thyroid i have read it is easy to treat and prayin for good news, i have been told i will most likely have to have surgery and ive had blood tests come back normal also a biopsy, camera down the throat aparently its on my cartridge this lump, very scared! i hope it all works well for you and please if you can keep us updated, thankyou

Hello....It sounds like you and I have had the exact thing done my question to you is do you have any neck pain? I have had pain for over three weeks. I go to my family Dr. Friday and the Specialest at the end of my month. thanks I hope all goes well with you.
hi yes i agree we are in the same situation unfortunetly i have had a sore throat since febuary last year but docters took no notice until i found a lump. I also had a pain in my neck when stressed or shouting but this isnt as severe as it was (i used to smoke roll ups and quit think this helped) I do have problems swallowing food and my neck does ache. Hope all goes well for you.
My next appointment it tomorrow (Thursday) it is for a ultrasound of my thyroid and possible another biopsy. They stated i will know the results on my next clinic appointment although i am hoping to try get some information tomorrow.

I have had the best news today i was told it is a thyroglossal cyst which is not sinister and possibly has always been there since birth! It is 4mm which was shocking as it looks 3cm on my neck! I shouldnt need further action and will know more when i see my ENT docter. My thyroid looks swollen on my neck although he says it looks within size range, my mum had a overactive thyroid so i will look more into this because i have alot of symptons.
I now hope to hear good news from you now try not to worry ive worried too long and have made myself ill with chest pains! Good luck X
