| Re: Genetics
I'm just worried about it because I'm 48 years old and going through peri-menopause with the heavy bleeding and clots and so forth, so I am afraid that might mask the symptoms of uterine cancer since heavy bleeding is one of the symptoms of cancer. The doctor says my hormone levels are extremely low and that is causing the excessive bleeding, and I have been on prempro for the last few years, but got off of them a few weeks ago, because I want to know what my body is doing without the prempro. I don't even get a period when I take them. I'm just wondering if the doctors will assume since my hormone levels are off, that that is what is causing the heavy bleeding no matter what. I know the insurance company's don't like to pay for a D&C unless it's absolutely necessary.
