First, how old are you? Yes, the ultrasound report and the dx of adeno and fibroids could certainly be causing some of the painful periods and bloating etc. Adeno is usually dx via surgery. If you consider a hyst...and from what I know, it's the only way to really deal with the pain of adeno..there are plenty of ways and types of hysterectomys. It's not a simple surgery though. Even the lap assisted procedures require a careful recovery. No endo? If so, unless they take the ovaries as well, that problem will remain. If the suffering is worse than the risks of surgery, than you might find that life is great after a hyst. If you are close to menapause, it might be worth waiting for. I had a total hysterectomy with everything yanked..

.. it took the full 3 months to really feel like I was going to recover..(I had cancer of the uterus)..no choice about having the surgery or not having it. In a way, it made that decision easy. It took a full year to really get over it all..I am very glad to know I've got nothing in there to cause me problems..no periods, no cramps, no more stuff to deal with. Think it through and talk with your doctor about other less invasive or drastic solutions. There is alot that is out there...good luck.
