[FONT=Comic Sans MS]Hi, I am new to this forum, and I am in need of some info. I am 32 years old, and I was just recently diagnosed with complex hyperplasia with atypia. I have been reading that it is very umcommon for someone as young as myself to have this diagnosis, and still wanting children. I have been seen by an oncologist that since then put me on megace, for 3 months, and then plans to do a D&C. I recently went for a 2nd opinion, and this doctor told me that megace stops me from ovulating and that I may not ever start again when taken off it. My main concern is that I can have a baby. Does anyone have any info thay can share with me on this situation? I don't know which way to go???

Yes, you can have pregnancy after complex hyperplasia with atypia. My condition was actually discovered during infertility workups, at age 38, which I had to stop after diagnosis. I started Megace for 3 months, refusing the suggested hysterectomy - I was on the baby track, I was NOT willing to give up without a fight. My Gyn Oncologist was willing to try 2 cycles of Megace to try to reverse the condition. I had the follow up D&C after cycle 1 for which the samples were clear, so no 2nd course was needed. I was pregnant 6 month later with my first In-vitro and had twins, who just turned 2. If you have hyperplasia, you may not have been ovulating in the first place despite heavy periods and would need infertility treatments as well.
