Large polyp small polyp?

To make a long story short I had a D&C and polyp removal on the 24th.
The sonohysterogram showed a large polyp (per doc). After the procedure I was told there was a small polyp. The main reason I had it was to stop abnirmal bleeding from this large polyp. I was told those tests were very accurate. So now I'm wondering did the doc leave in the large one and take out another?? Has anyone had such inaccurate results? I' m wondering if I just went thru that for nothing.

I was told that I had polyps from my endo biopsy and after the D&C none were found. I had mine done with a hysteroscopy. Did they do your with one? If not, they could have missed it, but not likely since it is suppose to have been a large one. I am still bleeding after a week from having the D& C. Nurse said it was normal. I will have my post op appointment in a few days and will get a chance to talk to the doctor to see what could have been causing my abnormal bleeding after intercourse. My question is how could the biopsy have been so wrong saying that polyps was causing my bleeding??????

Re: Large polyp small polyp?

I don't know. Guess they're all just guessing!

I had the D&C with hysteroscope. I'm going to get all the info. I can at my post op Nov.7. The test I had before was similar, a hysterosonogram. It showed a polyp in the cavity close to 2 cm. How could she have missed that?? She did tell me before surgery that if it was not in a good place to remove it, she'd leave it in.

I've had very little bleeding since the procedure.

Bleeding from sex can be a cervical problem. My pap was normal but my colposcopy wasn't. I have CIN I (I had slight bleeding after sex too).
I don't know your situation but thought I'd mention that.

I'll keep you posted. Waiting to hear back from the doc's nurse about my question...

Well according to the gyn, everything is fine. No cancer or polyps. She said if the bleeding continues, then we can do hormones. I said I rather not, they have their own set of problems. My last pap was normal. The only thing it did say as inflammation, thus the endo biopsy thus leading to D&C. Well, still bleeding after intercourse. But have not gotten a period this month. I had all the PMS tho, lots of water retension. Not happy about that at all.
My gyn never said anything about doing a colposcopy. Should I ask for one>

What are they doing about your results of the colposcopy? Would the CIN 1 cause the bleeding, or is it pre- cancer? I am peri, so my gyn said all is normal. I really don't think this is normal at all.
