This is my history. I had a hysterectomy 18 months ago. I went back into the hospital one week after due to a softball sized hematoma and infections with three different organisms. A CT scan showed an enlarged appendix but I had an appendectomy 28 years ago. Since then I have had right side pain. The pain is a chronic soreness that is sometimes very sharp. The Dr.'s have ruled out liver/kidney/gallbladder/spleen problems. I have to wait 5 weeks to see a GI doctor. Also my neutrophils are low and lymphocytes are high. It has been this way for almost 1 year. I feel very fatigued and unwell. It is like having the flu but it doesn't go away. Does anyone have suggestions for me?
The infections were cleared up in the hospital and I have been tested for a host of viruses, all negative. I saw the GI doctor who ordered a CT scan which was read pretty much the same as the first. He performed a colonoscopy which was normal and sent me back to my family doctor! Now I am waiting to see a general surgeon for a consultation and still having the same symptoms.
