Falling asleep all the time

Hello,

I am asking this for a friend who had uterine cancer Stage III two years ago.
She was very ill, had a couple of surgeries and radiation and chemo. They still can't get her blood count up to normal.
Her problem now is that she falls asleep in the middle of anything. She says she just loses consciousness - it's unexpected, and then hardly can be woken up again. Sometimes, she's fine, but this happens many times during the day.

It's not just ordinary fatigue, it's like attacks of falling asleep.

Has anyone else experienced this after treatment? The doctors don't seem to know, and she's been thoroughly tested.

Thank you.
