stomach pains - Cancer Message Board

for a few weeks i have had these sharp niggling pains in my lower left abdomin. <(spelt wrong?) and just under my ribs. i went to see the dr and he did not really say what it could be. i was just wondering if it was cancer would i have any other syptoms? because there is nothing else really wrong with me. oh yeah they took a blood test would this show anything up?

one more thing the dr examined my stomach and he found no lumps
but i am still a little worried.
any help would be welcome.

You don't have cancer.

If everyone your age who had abominal pain had cancer, then the wards would be full of 16 year olds with cancer......abdominal pain that is not debilitating as the only symptom in almost any age group is highly unlikely to be cancer.

just a question, out of the hundreds of different things that can be wrong with you (including nothing at all) if you have abdominal pain, why would you think it was cancer?
