daughter had malignant tumor removed and radiation therapy, pt so on . now must have mri. cat scans and chest x-rays every 3 months for 5 years. then she has to have metal rod placed in leg from hip to knee cuz radiation made her bone brittle.
ssi disability denied, so did medicare. we are appealing this will be third time. any suggestions?

Gosh I really wish I knew. I too have thyroid cancer and and have been playing around with disability now for one solid year. My lawyer says that since being denied twice, I will probably have another year and a half wait before my case gets reviewed in front of the judge.

I have insurance, but my insurance will not cover pet scans, cat scans and such. I ams supposed to have mine every three months too. My insurance claims it is investigational and will not pay. My pet scans run about 3000 a piece and the last time I had one they wouldn't even perform the test until I signed a promissory note right there in the office.

I can not work. I can barely walk from the radiation. I would very much like to keep in touch with you. Maybe you can let me know what happens and I can let you know what happens with me.

yOU MAY WANT TO TRY st. jUDES HOSPITAL THEY WILL NOT TURN AWAY ANY CHILD IN OF NEED AND THEY WILL ALSO MAY BE ABLE TO HAVE INFORMATION IN YOUR AREA THAT SET ASIDE MONEY FOR THIS MOST HOSPITAL HAVER THIS OR NO OF PRIVATE NON PROFIT THAT CAN HELP. TRY st. jUDES i THIK ITS IN st PAUL MN

OMG!! That's awful. How can they let people suffer and die due to paper work politics?!

I so wish you guys in the USA would take the lead from Canada and get rid of the private health care system. In Canada the government pays for our health care, and we pay for it in our taxes.

It is really bad that ppl must suffer because of lack of ins.

my hubby has a mass on his neck and the ER would not

do test because of are ins. Then are family doc is holding

off on test because of ins. he even said it was because of

the ins. We were finaly approved for medicad which will

get in like 3 weeks. It is not fair though we should be

like Canada and the goverment should let everyone get

the medical treatment we deserve. My sister had a tumor

in her ovary { 10 years ago} the size of a orange she was

terrified it was cancer she had to come up with the cash

before they would do surgery. Thank goodness it was

none cancerous but she should not of been put off because

of not having ins. Best of luck to you and your daughter

will be in my prayers. Haylee
