Megace 80mg a day. How did it effect you? - Cancer Message Board

I am wondering how megace affected your people? I am male and do not have cancer. But my DR. prescribed to me so that I could gain weight. I am scared to take it because it is a drug used to get rid of cancer and there are some scary risks involved with. Also I heard somewhere that the drug was going to get recalled. Anybody who could offer any advice, support, suggestions, info it sure would be awesome.

My mother is on Megace since diagnosed with liver cancer and she takes megace. it is not a anabolic steroid so will do nothing for muscle wasting syndrome or help a person looking to buff up. It is a anti-neoplastic for endometrial tumors but they use it most because .....makes you hungaaaarryyyy. My mother wants to eat everything. It works she was at 104 at heer low point she is 122 now. be careful, it can cause puffiness in your face if you take to much.
