Just take it one day at a time. Let the doctors do surgery, and then see where things are at. Nothing is certain at this stage. After the surgery they will know more, and give you further treatment options such as chemo and/or radiation treatments.
Also, ask them about peritoneal dialysis, or hemo dialysis. If they are removing a whole kidney, and part of another, they will probably start you on dialysis to clean your blood; something that the kidneys usually do.
We are all here for you, and while we can't hug you in person, we can give virtual hugs, and sometimes those are just as wonderful as the ones in person. *hugs*
