First off I lost my mother to stomach cancer a couple years back. The last few months in particular were very tough on all involved.

Now then For the last year or so I've been getting these stomach pains. Sometimes severe.. sometimes more moderate. They tend to occur at really random times and go away just as soon as they occur.

In addition to this on the occassion (rare occassion) I have noticable blood in my stool and am oftentimes for lack of a better term worn out.... Just feel like my energy level is shot basically.

My question is this how likely is this to be related to my mother's cancer? I know the sensible thing would be to get it checked out... I don't do this because

A: I already owe the hospitals a ton of money.. and I don't have a family doctor

(don't really trust Doctors much anyway... my mom's cancer was misdiagnosed for years. Indigestion....ulcer....heart burn. They finally said it was cancer.. but that it was ovarian.. gave her the wrong chemo. It was not until she went to The Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis some 300 miles away that they got things figured out.. by then it was too late. THAT is why I don't trust Doctors)

B: I'm simply afraid of what I might hear.

I suffer from depression as is and if I were to hear the wrong thing... well I don't know what I would want to do. I fear that I've got the wrong outlook on life as a whole to be faced with something like that.. granted I might go and find out it's something less severe also. Just would almost rather 'not know' just in case.. hopefully that makes some sense.
