My Aunt Eleanore Got Her Wings This Morning :( - Cancer Message Board

Sadly to report, my Aunt Eleanore went to heaven this morning (Mon, July 29). Thank God she passed seemingly peacefully with a few very deep breaths. My parents were both able to be right by her side and I was able to come over shortly thereafter.

This pancreatic cancer has proved to be a very deadly, very fast killing disease and it's so horrible to even recount.

Thank you all for your kind words of support and I know all of your thoughts are with us.

Our hospice nurse, Janice was just amazing throughout the month she spent with us 3x per week. She said that she "earned her wings" today.

We will miss Aunt Eleanore terribly, but we know and find comfort that she is in a much happier, healthier, better place.

I'm sorry to hear about your aunt. She is now in a better place without pain and she's smiling down on you right now. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you deal with this heart breaking event.

I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt. This has been za very sad time for you and your family, but I hope it will bring comfort to you to know that you did everything possible and were truly there for her. God Bless you all.
