I can't feel the left side of my throat when I swallow. Also, I feel a lump where my chin meets the neck(it's kind of like a males adams apple). I have difficulty breathing (especially when I laugh) and swallowing. I don't really have a sore throat though. I quit smoking in Jan. And noticed this in late Feb. Any ideas?
THE BEST ADVICE IS TO BE SEEN BY AN ENT ASAP. THIS DOESN'T MEAN THAT YOU HAVE CANCER BUT IF THIS TURNS OUT TO BE SERIOUS THE FASTER A DIAGONOSIS IS MADE AND TREATED, THE BETTER THE PROGNOSIS. MY HUSBAND JUST COMPLETED CHEMO-RADIAITON FOR CANCER OF THE TONGUE AND ALTHOUGH THE TREATMENT WAS ROUGH HE IS DOING WELL AND HAS A GOOD PROGNOSIS. HE DIDIN'T WAIT TO SEE THE ENT.
PLEASE KEEP US POSTED ON HOW THINGS ARE GOING FOR YOU.
