Need some advice..
Rumor has it that you lose all your hair when you have cancer... I mean ALL of it.. .I was wondering if you lost the hair in your crotch region. aka pubic hairs, please clarify this rumor as being false or true,

A lot of people with cancer lose hair because of the drugs they're taking to treat their cancer. Losing all your hair doesn't mean you have cancer. It does mean there is a problem somewhere that you should see a doctor about.

Right. The hair loss is caused by chemotherapy drugs that are used to treat the cancer. Some chemotherapies cause hair loss and some don't.

And, Yes...you do lose the hair everywhere, including eyelashes, eyebrows and pubic hair. But it grows back when the drugs are stopped.

Also, sometimes the hair loss isn't complete; your hair just becomes thinner.

The good news is, you don't have to shave while you're on chemo! (Every cloud has a silver lining???)
