I'm deeply skeptical. I'm more inclined to expect that the study will be discredited eventually. I'm amazed that they were allowed to go so far. I think there is some deep commercial interest involved in suppressing this.
I make my own vitamin C, complete with all the esters, quinones, bioflavonoids and coenzymes that come with the natural production of Vitamin C. I make it the same way Captain Cook did when he sailed around the world in the 1700's, in order to protect his crew from scurvy. Yet how many people realize that fermentation is the way Vitamin C is made, and that it's an easy and fun diy project?
I think the only way that this can get official approval is if it can only be done by someone with expensive equipment, hospitals and doctors, and needs special operations that will generate as much revenue as current surgeries, chemo and radiation treatments. But then, I'm very skeptical :-).
