lump in neck - Cancer Message Board

hi my son (who has autisum)so dosnt say much about it ,has a lump in back centre of neck he went to doc who gave him med for his ear poblem, mention lump but didnt seem bother about it, it seems like a glan it moves about if you push it around,it dose not bother him at all should i be worried? it can be noticed by just looking at it but has not got any bigger or any thing, any ideas wheather i should be worried mxx

i had a worry a few months ago about a similar problem, i found a lump (about the size of a grape) in my neck, it was 'moveable' - i went to the docs about it and she said that the glands often swell, or it could also be a cyst - either way it was nothing to worry about because it moves around. all she said was if it changed - got alot bigger or anything, then to go back.

the fact the your doctor didnt make a big deal of it then i wouldnt worry.... but it was a little unprofesional of her/him to not explain to you properly!
