Insperation Needed
I just lost my 50yr old father to colan cancer almost two weeks ago. This has got to be the most painful thing I have ever had to go through. He was the strongest person I ever knew, my hero and my best friend. I am not the only person that loved him more then words can say. I have a older sister that also thought he was the greatest thing sense slice bread. We also live in a small town and everyone he ever meet loved him and came to pay there last respectes. We had almost 2000 people that came to visitation if that tells you that kind of man he was.
With that said the reason I am wrighting..... my mom. My parents have been together sense my dad was 13 and mom 14, married for 32 years, and had two GREAT girls. ha ha ha . My mom was a daddys girl growing up and she told me her dad put her hand in my dads and she didnt know how to be alone, and never wanted to be. I am not sure what she is going to do with all her time. I am married with two young kids that keep me busy. My sister is also married with two kids in middle school so she is also very busy. We are trying to do lots of things with our mom and she is staying very busy with her work and the grandkids. Its at the end of the day when you seat on the couch in your p.j. and talk about your day that she is going to miss the most. I was hoping someone out there knows a book that will help her get through this and give her that light at the end of the tunnel.
We are a very spiritual family and that will be our back bone. The bible will always be the first book we turn to but if anyone knows a good hearted lift you up kind of book I could get for her please share.
