loss of 2 litres of blood not through urine/poo

what could be causing this my dad was admitted to hospital he had lost 2 litres of blood but there were no cuts he's not passing through bodly functions.

i understand that your dad lost twolitres of blood through his stools,if my understanding is correct i would definately recommen that he gets his stomach checked and that he definately has a colonoscopy. with these tests he will most likely get some answers if not further testing will be required.
