Recommendations on Oral Mucositis Treatment

Hello Everyone. I am a caregiver for a relative that has developed oral mucositis from chemotherapy. Our doctor has prescribed MuGard, which is a prescription strength mouthwash. All the research/reviews I have found seem to be positive, but I'd like to hear from anyone that has actually used this stuff and how it has worked for you or your family? Thank you so much for your feedback!
