Newly Diagnosed-Grade III Astrocytome (Brain)

I am desperate for any advice regarding my mother's recent diagnosis of Grade III Astrocytoma. A little history...

My mother was recently diagnosed via biopsy with Grade III Astrocytoma. We live in Virginia and her surgeon suggests no surgery due to her not having 1 but 2 spots (1 in the back of her head, one in the front temporal lobe). Surgeon states that if attempt to remove tumor (debulk?) both spots it would more than likely affect some part of her brain. Instead he suggests radiation and perhaps chemo (our appt with the radiologist is in a few weeks, is that too long?). From what I have read it is best to first have surgery and then follow up with the radiation/chemo regimen. I thought as far as radiation is concerned, cyber-knife would be the way to go. Surgeon says regular radiation and maybe backup with the cyber knife. What are your thoughts on the best way to proceed? Any help would be appreciated greatly.
