Hi Glen....
A lot depends on what stage the cancer is when diagnosed...My mum (77yo) was diagnosed late July and is having her last Chemo next Tuesday...a couple of weeks after that she will begin Radiation Therapy & 24/7 Chemo to try and shrink the tumor...At present she is doing amazingly well and is "Stronger" now than a couple of months ago...I had been preparing all their meals each day but she now wants to start cooking again and is VERY hungry (This is due to the steriods taken with the chemo dose)
I myself got an email from my Hematologist/Oncologist who treated me 30years ago for Acute Myloid Leukemia...he said they didn't even know that they could actually "Cure" it back then and I went on (Much to his horror at the time) to have six children...he still believes it was my pure "Determination & willpower" that kept me alive and cancer free...
NEVER GIVE UP....and Believe that the treatment will help...
