Hi, Thanks in advance for your input. My 7 yr old son has an on again off again recurring high fever for last 8 mo.(103-104)with no other symptoms, lasting 3-4 days. Just took him in to er over weekend. Had blood work done. Has wbc 24.6, over 94 neutrophils, no blasts shown. Infectious disease, viral and bacterial ruled out by blood tests. chest x-ray done- clean. Lymphnodes and spleen look good by physical exam. With no blast could this still be a cancer? My pediatrition scheduled an app. in two weeks to get blood redone. should I press for more? If so what? There was mention of Reumatoid Arthritis or Lupus, but he has none of the physical signs. Ugh, I am frustrated and worried. Thank you!
