| Am I Being A Hypochondriac? Please Help.
Seven months ago I felt a small lump on the side of my neck. The size of a pea but hard. I went to the doctor who told me it was fine and come back if it gets bigger. In the months to follow I went back 2 more times before he finally agreed to run some tests. An MRI was done and the lump was said to be normal, however there were 2 lymph nodes that were 20-23cm. I was then sent to a ENT who put me on anti-biotics and did a ultrasound. The results came back that everything was normal. I still feel lumps under my jawline however my ENT said that I am dehydrated and they are mucas glands and I need to drink more water.
My questions.
Should I be concerned regarding the small hard lump? The MRI said it was normal, the doctor who did the ultra sound said it was normal and felt hard because it was close to the surface of the skin and the ENT didnt seem concerned until just yesterday when he said he "doesn't think its anything but will send me for a second opinion. I have no symtoms such a night sweats, chills, fever, etc. The only other concern I have is these "mucas glands" have been swollen for a few months now. I do have a deviated septum with post nasal drip. am I just worrying over nothing here? I am waiting for my second opinion but am looking for some feedback. Thank you.
