| Multiple Myeloma Question
Does anyone know why Multiple Myeloma patients receive chemo treatments? Is it because chemo slows the progression of this cancer or is it for the bone pain or what? I know Myeloma is non-cureable. My mother had MM but she could not have chemo because of severe Osteoporosis. Her bones were very brittle in some area's powder. I have been going through some testing lately for MM just trying to understand more of what I don't already know. What is the real deciding factor for Multiple Myeloma is it the bone marrow test, protein level or bone survey x-ray? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
