Cancer: Non-Hodgkins Folicullar Lymphoma
Hi there, I have been diagnosed with NH folicullar lymphoma two days before chrismas last year, i have received 8 cycles of CHOP chemotherapy and have responded well to the treatments, however it is not all well yet and so I am "surfing" the net for answers as I also feel the doctors either dont have time or dont care much. I have a little habit that I wanted to share, which helped me immensely: The day I received my first chemo I started a diary of my side effects and then when I received the next cycle I knew what to expect and it eased the tension of worry and anxiety of it as all is "normal" each cycle felt easier or "rougher" depending on my mental state and physical condition. ( As they mentioned everyone's reaction is a bit different) I suggest to all new cancer patients starting chemotherapy to keep a diary. I have now completed 8 cycles and am seeing the oncologist on the 13th July and we will decide what next.... am a bit scared if they suggest readiotherapy and I dont know much about it... But I will do it if it makes me stay in the "rat race" a few years longer.... would be soooo nice to hear from anyone who has similar experience, just to have someone who understands what we going through. Thank you.
