ultrasound of neck lymph nodes

had this test done for a slightly swollen and tender node on my left side (towards back of the jaw). the dr. said it was as close to normal of a test result you can get. slight enlargment of the node. but he did mention that some of the fatty tissue in the node was displaced but the blood flow was good? anyone ever hear of this? would an ultrasound be a good indicator or cancer or something rather serious? thanks for any input.
