| Cancer - mucoepidermoid carcinoma
My mother-in-law had a biopsy done on a tumor that she had. Below is what the pathology report stated:
Lesion right Alveolar ridge lower jaw: infiltrating mucoepidermoid carcinoma high-grade. Tumor infiltrating nerve and muscle. Alcian blue and muciciarmine stains positive for intracellular mucin tumor cell. Can someone tell me what this means in layman's terms? She's 80 yrs old and not in the best health.
