Aussie with questions on candida.

Hi.I'm new to this section but not to the other sections.

I'm a 51 year old aussie guy.I've had food intolerances since around late 1994.I learnt how to deal with it.Later in 2006 I decided I would like to drink some cola flavoured drinks. Then over several weeks I overdid it.The experience was something I wish I hadnt gone through.

At some point I noticed that I had what I just refer to as froth in the mouth. Before I had a meal I would wipe my tongue clean with a cloth. That helped so I could actually taste the food.I discovered that my taste buds now couldnt tell the difference between say the bitterness of a lemon and the sweet taste of an apple.I could eat lemons.

My voice seemed different at that point. My hearing was blocked to some degree. What I did was I cut out sugar. No soft drinks, cordials, etc. Not sugary foods either.I switched to baking food and I've been eating apples everyday since.

That frothy thing cleared up in 2006.I havent had it since.I spend big money looking after my overall health and well being.I have a muscle testing practitioner who is helping me.I've almost cured of obsessive compulsive disorder that was started in late 2006.

I need to understand what caused that froth in the mouth.I didnt get that anywhere else just in the mouth.

If you can tell me might have happened I would really appreciate it.

Chris.

Unhappy Re: Aussie with questions on candida.

I've been having the double period for years now. Not consistently, I'll have as many as three every other week, which really wears me out. I become exhausted beyond belief. The flow can be unpredictable though too. I've had heavy dumping sessions, and I'm stuck in bed with those, changing clothes often, and sheets. And i've had flows that were normal, starting out spotting, then a heavy flow, then light, lasting up to 7 days and as little as 3 days. but usually, just 2 periods in a given month cycle. I ended a period not 7 days ago, and am just today, starting up a new cycle. My weight is fluxing too, 4 to 5 pounds, up and down the scale, never more, never less, just bouncing between the 4-5 lbs all month long. I exercise, I try to eat healthy and somewhat sensibly. I chalk this up to hormones and the onset of menopause, since I am 49. I was told at 46 that this was all part of Peri-menopause...

Re: Aussie with questions on candida.

Maybe the froth was excess saliva otherwise I dont know.
How long did it take the Candida to clear up after starting your elimination diet?...

Re: Aussie with questions on candida.

I never saw a doctor I just cut out various foods on my own.It must have worked because the problems stopped within 2 months or so.

Re: Aussie with questions on candida.

I cut out sugar,salt (sodium)tea,coffee,dairy,processed foods,breads.
I bake foods in the oven.I eat fresh fruit.I eat a lot of apples everyday.
