Hello:
I transitioned from 13+ years in IT/IS (computer programming) to Home Healthcare Nov 2003. I have my NA-R and nurse delegation for Washington State. I work for an adult family home for Altz. / Demen. residents. I make just enough to squeak by.
Learning the Caregiving ropes in an AFH setting has been "great", but I'd be very interested to hear what seasoned Caregivers think about working for a staffing agency, as well as working in the private sector (directly with the care recipient).
For the private employ, what is needed in the way of legal / paperwork when one negotiates with the recipient? How do the wages compare? Pros, cons?
Thanks much!
Bob
