Hello. I am 21 years old and Live in Utah. I know how you feel. My sympothy goes out to you and your sister.
My father was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gerhig's disease) in Aug. of 2001. I am married and have a 8 month old daughter. My husband and I are currently living the basement of my parents house. Since I stay home with my little girl, I now need to stay home with my my father also. He has declined rapidly since the diagnoses. I understand what it feels like to take care of someone you love. I was in school before all this happened. I was studying to be a nurse and thinking of going into pediactrics. I stopped going to school and it's hard to think abaout myself anymore. I feel guilty for it. I have great respect for you to take on such a responsablity. I hope for me saying these things helps you in some way. Good Luck and don't give up you'll get your chance!!
