| my daughter has BPD
my daughter has been diagnosed with BPD quite a few years ago. She is 42 now. She has had problems for many years, seen many counselors, been on meds for many years. She is not improving and doesn't seem to stick with counselors. My counselor tells me that she probably not taking responsibility for her own mental health and probably doesn't follow advise of her counselor. It seems to me that she should be getting better, but she just gets worse. She lashes out at me and has most of her life. I still haven't figured out why. She is unable to get along with anyone for any length of time. WE all walk on eggshells around her. She is also combative. She is unable to hold a job and is on SSI and has been for years. I don't know how to help her but am tiring of her constant anger towards me and avoid her most of the time because of it. I love her and it is a sad situation. There does not seem to be enough mental health services in our area, which is so sad. Does anyone have advice on how to get along with her.
