Hi everyone..

I visited my chiropractor and md to see about some problems Ive had with my wrists. To make a long story short my wrists have popped, clicked, cracked since I was very young. The past month Ive been experiencing bones feeling like there separating in my left wrist (only), burning, tingling in fingers, hurts to move my hand in any slight movement. Also wrist is extremly tender.. I actually felt it was swelling my fingers today (they was feeling really tight).. It dont hurt as bad when its rested. However I do noticed picking up anything like a plate, or a pop will cause "VERY" bad pain to the point I want to just cry. My husband cupped his hand around my wrist and it popped really loud but continues to hurt.
Now, My chiroprator says he feels I have carpal tunnel (I dont know any symptoms of CP). Then he says its just over used.. No hope in an x-ray (be cheaper then going to a emergency room). I visited my MD he again says its over used without no x-ray.. I dont have insurance so that is why Im here. I would like to know if I have any symptoms that pretain to CP.

Hi Dawn

You sound like you have the same problems Im having. I also have burning across my shoulders and down my arms. I have dropped/broken so many things because of this. I have been told I need surgery for CT asap.
I saw an article in the newspaper for a chiropractor in my area doing FREE
Paraspinal Surface Electromyograph Tests. It showed I have a severe elevaton of a cervical disk in my neck. He seems to think this is causing my problems. He says most doctors dont know about this test, and that too many people are getting unnessessary surgery done. Im taking this test report to my hand specialist to check out before I make any decisions.

Well, the burning down the shoulders its pretty hard to even tell where its coming from since I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and TMJ.. I do know my chroprator told me my neck was straight and should be curved and he assumes I also have degenerative arthritis I just dont see how I could. Which all I would assume causes that symptom too. I just deal with it and never know what my culprit is. Im hoping Tuesday I can get an x-ray from my chroprator and take copies to my MD. Though as far as pain goes its really local.. no pain to elbows, just roughly from wrist to the outside of hand.. along the edge of pinky. I will make sure I ask for that test (I wrote it down to take with me). I am willing to try anything. Ive never heard of that procedure so Its news to me and Im really excited to ask about it.
