Can the WHOLE arm hurt with Carpal Tunnel?

I don't know if I have Carpal or not, But all of a sudden, my right arm started to hurt from the top of my shoulder (around the rotator cuff area) to the side of my wrist. Does this fit into Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?

Re: Can the WHOLE arm hurt with Carpal Tunnel?

Yes it can. Both my arms hurt so severely before CT surgery that I actually had less pain in them the very day of surgery after the anaesthetic wore off than before surgery. But I would recommend seeing a doc asap & getting some books from the library on repetitive stress syndrome. It also depends on which part of your hand hurts etc as to whether it is tendonitis, or an ulnar nerve problem which is the cubital tunnel in the arm or if it's carpal tunnel in the wrist/palm area.
