I had surgery for a ligament tear in my wrist. About 3 months after my surgery I noticed I had pain that was progressively worse. Now I have numbness in my ring and pinky finger, and pain that shoots up my arm to my shoulder. The doc said it could be ulnar nerve entrapment. Has anyone out there had a similar problem after surgery of the wrist? How possible is it that this will be fixed with surgery?

My daughter didn't have wrist surgery but had a bad fall on her wrist. After that it was determined she had ulnar nerve entrapment. She had the surgery which helped the symptoms of tingling, hand falling asleep etc. But now her wrist cannot rotate fully - the Doc says it was caused by her being in a cast for 4 weeks and her bones practically fusing together!! The therapist says she can't do anything else with her. (her surgery was in October) and in therapy before and ever since. Looks like we may have another surgery. Let me know if you have any questions about the surgery. Anyone else hear of this?
