i have a bump on the topside of my wrist that hurts when I use my thumb or index fingure, Is this a sign of cts?

A bump doesn't sound like CTS to me. I am not sure how big big is. It could be a ganglion cyst. Try doing a search for that and see if the pictures fit what you have. I have ganglion cysts on both of my wrists (except one of them was removed when I had hand surgery for another problem - not CTS). One of mine hurt for a couple of months a long time ago but then quit hurting on its own and has never hurt since. If your pain is bothersome or you are worried about it then I would suggest that you consult your Dr. Good luck!

when checking for the cyst you told me about I found some more info on the same site. I believe what I have is DeQuervain's tendinitis . Never heard of it, but sure seems right.
