i know this is more in regards to cubital than carpal, but this forum is as close as it gets
i am an active 21yr old, and have been active since a young age... i even did a gym instructor qualification at 19.
I am currently in america on an internship (i'm from the UK) and have noticed that occasionally i get a slight numbness in my little finger (over the past month that i've been here, it's popped up a number of times.
I have been somewhat more active than usual here (been jogging at least 5 days a week, and accompanying that with weights or calisthenics most days, nothing really heavy, but not easy all the same)... i know that numbness in the little finger can be a sign of an unhappy ulnar nerve (they say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing eh

) and wondered if this might be brought on by exercise.
I would normally talk to a Dr obviously, but with being in the states i'd rather wait till i get back (only a couple of weeks) so i can sort this out at home. should i take it easy on the exercises which require the elbow to bend to a large degree, or will exercise but with a limit on the range of motion and weight actually prove beneficial?
how about an elbow support, would that be a good thing to wear until i get back to the UK?
more importantly, is this a condition which once dealt with is unlikely to reappear? obviously being as active as i am i like to hit the gym to stay looking good etc and will be mighty upset if this limits what i can do (assuming of course i even have this thing... which i won;t know until i get back and see the doc)
