| Keinbock's Disease???
Anyone out there have this? Has anyone had surgery to correct this?
What did you have done? Did it help? How long was your recovery? ETC...
I've had pain in my wrist and ulna side of my arm for a few months. Doc sent me to pt for a month and he sent me to an orthopedic doc. They did nerve tests, xrays and a mri and determined that I have Keinbock's due to an ulna that is longer than my radius. Their solution is to cut my ulna in half and remove 4mm.
I'm not to crazy about this as it is general anethesia and such. I will also lose my job because I only work part time and doc says the recovery is 3 months.
I was told Keinbock's is progressive and eventually I will have severe arthritis in my wrist(if I don't have the surgery). Aaaaah. I'm just a little shocked and bewildered since they've been telling me all I have is tendinitis for the past few months.
Anyway, if anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks ~Mush
