I was diagnosed with Cubital syndrome about 6 months ago by a neurologist and have been on comp. ever since. I have had both the test EMG and NCS. The neurologist treated for a couple months and referred me to a hand surgeon. The surgeon diagnosed me with multiple compressions. My elbow and one in my neck. I work in heavy construction and work with all kinds of heavy machinery that bounce me around pretty rough and my elbow’s take a pounding on the armrest. I wear the arm brace while sleeping which is a pain itself. I am always aware of my elbow and watch to not bump it or over use it. I believe it would be unbearable if I bumped it very hard. The Surgeon has me going to PT to try to stretch out my spine and improve my poster to ease the pain in my neck. My pain and tingling is getting better and I now have a pretty good grip with my hand. But its still there and the pain in my neck sometimes are unbearable. When its at its worst I can't sleep any and when I get out of bed I have to roll out because I can't raise my head. The comp. People I feel are getting a little restless about me being of work so long.I don't balme them but can't help that i'm hurt. It bothers me really bad and I am fighting depression over it. Have always been healthy and worked. They recently sent me to an independent Dr for his advice I haven’t heard from his report yet. But he did tell me he couldn't tell me anything or answer my questions but said he was going to recommend the test again!!!!! What fun to look forward to. I guess my questions is this? How long should I wait until I have the surgery? What about my neck, I feel the Dr thinks there isn't much can be done for it? In the 6 months my elbow has made lots of improvement and seems to be improving all the time but very slowly. Again what about the compression in my neck? I can't find much info on that part. there is noway i could perform my duties at work with my neck and elbow like this.
