First did I spell that right?
Ok I know pregnant women can develop this easily. I type all day long at work, and recently my fingers have been killing me! They don't look swollen, but they feel swollen and like my bones are grinding against eachother!
Does anyone know anything about it? Or have similar problems?
It usually involves tingling and numbness to your fingers. I *did* have the added bonus of painful finger joints when I have problems with my ulnar nerves.
But the first symptom is the tingling and the numbness.
i have cts and just discovered a little trick..type using a pen instead ofyour fingers..slow yeah but it gives your fingers a break..recently i had at midnight total numbess in my pinky mannnnn..it feels bad...
my carpal tunnel came from typing and sewing and Yes! from writing. I was a secretary in the late 70s early 80s and I took shorthand. So writing isn't going to improve CTS. Are you sure your hands don't look swollen? They don't have to be twice their size to be swollen. I never realized my right hand was swollen until I was down in Florida and on a golf course with my husband when the lady behind us came up and asked why I wasn't playing. When I told her I had CTS, she said she could see the swelling in my right hand. When compared to my left it was! I had both hands done--3 months apart. It's better than before but not perfect.
