had ct surgery 6 months ago in both hands all symptons went away i recently fell down stairs broke left wrist tore ligaments in right wrist herniated disc l4 l5 i have developed numbness again in thumb 2nd and 3rd finger on right hand and numbness in pinky and ring finger on the left hand had emg and he says i have carpal tunnel again in both hands and a pinched ulnar nerve on the left i had no symptons before the fall can it return that quickly?

hi I also had my surgury on both hands, 3 mths ago, and I am up at nite with all that same pain. Went for a second opinion, and this surgeon think I have carpel tunnel again too. I didnt think that could happen. He is sending me for another EMG

Lumbar problems usually don't show up in the hands. You need to ask for a Cervical MRI to see if you've herniated discs in your neck. If you search on "Dermatome Map" you will see how the cervical nerves align to different parts of the arms.
