I just did a little bit of reading on carpal tunnel syndrome and cubital tunnel syndrome. Sounds like my symptoms may lean more cubital.. so I'm here for input.

First.. I've wairtressed for about 4 years, and I'm a Graphic Designer so I am on the computer alot. 8hours a day/7 days a week at the very least (that's just at work, not including home.)

The first time I noticed something wrong was a little over a year ago, while I was still waitressing. Occasionally I would get an annoying pain in my wrist. Often I felt a straining from my elbow running down to my pinky finger. Occasionally there were moments were I tried gripping an empty tray and felt like I was going to drop it, or that I couldn't grip it at all. My wrist would bother me by the end of every shift.

I quit the waitressing job and started the GD job almost 9 months ago now. Now any problems I have are more of a straining feeling than pain. Normally it only happens for about a day not even every month. But it has been bothering me for the past 4 days straight currently. It seems to reach from my middle finger up my forearm to my elbow. It's not painful, just irritating. The muscle in my forearm almost feels tired, weak. Even holding a pen to write seems to take a bit more effort than normal.

I don't get the burning or the numbness that was mentioned, just the straining and pulling feeling. Could it be either carpal or cubital tunnel syndrome? Is there something else it could possibly be? How do they test for these things?
