I am 21 now, 3 years ago when I was a senior in high school my right index finger started twitching at random times. I usually ignored it and thought I was just stressed out with college apps and what not. The twitches would be short, painless and would come every couple months - sometimes not even at all. In my freshman and sophomore years at college the twitches would stay the same except they would last a little longer. Since they were not coming repeadetly I would ignore them. My junior year I started working a lot more with computers from 9 to 5 - Monday through Friday, I am sitting in a desk, infront of a computer doing entries and letters and so forth. Now my twitches have increased in time length and in frequency. They develop every few days, and last anywhere between a few hours or even a day. Somtimes my arms will fall asleep while I am sleeping and they are crossed or bent and I will wake up from it and have to lay them out straight. The biggest change that I have seen with my index finger twitching is that it has developed all day yesterday, all night last night, and it is now 12:39pm in Maryland (where I am from) and it is still twitching, also, sometimes rappid but soft twitching has developed into my left index finger. I thought I'd look it up online before I made an appt. with my doctor. Could this be carpal tunnel? Or maybe something else?
